Have you investigated other meds that may not have the same side effects? There are meds to stop the shaking. I have a friend who got one and it works. I suggested he ask about it.
I have. I am very reluctant to change medications that have been working incredibly well for a long time. I tried switching to a newer antipsychotic a few years ago and it was an absolute disaster that ended up with me being hospitalized for 5 weeks. But thanks for your input! :-)
Thankfully, medications are being prescribed in micro-doses compared to decades past. The drugs are having the desired effect but without the devastating symptoms of weight gain, diabetes, Tardive Dyskinesia, and all the other side effects that make it understandable for a symptomatic person to flush everything down the toilet, and then hop on the roller coaster of instability. Thanks for the post. Always illuminating, and honest, and accessible
