Good day dear listeners! I have had a difficult and harrowing past couple of days. Though I have been able to get a handle on my use of such psychiatric meds as a tranquilizer I have used for a number of years, staying up all night except for a few short naps has really started to take a toll on me. I have been working as a research assistant in some Edmonton hospital psychiatric wards, teaching poetry to patients. My job only takes up about an hour 3-4 days a week, but I have tried to do everything I can do prepare for work properly, do it well, and to make sure I am awake when it comes time to go to class.
In this podcast, I also discuss the use of THC pills/Marijuana pills and Acetaminophen with codeine. I stopped using these, and my tranquilizer a little over two months ago, but with all these sleep problems and issues arguing with nearly everyone in my life, I have been sorely tempted to use some of the pills I have left from before the New Year to calm me down and help me sleep. I think it is important to understand the impact that THC/Marijuana can have on someone with a mental illness. I used the pills for only a brief couple of months, but I experienced what felt like a severe decline in mental functioning, and my psychosis was starting to inch its way back into my life. If you have a loved one who is struggling, please feel free to contact me in the chat below and hopefully I can offer you some help and wisdom from my experience.
