This is a very beautiful shot of downtown Vancouver. It is an incredibly beautiful place, but the sad thing is, behind these yachts and million dollar condos that exist in abundance, there is a section of town where people live in the worst poverty zone in Canada. This was where I made my home in the early 90s. I have a co-worker who also lived in the same area and he mentioned that when you arrive in Vancouver’s Downtown East Side, the social workers will tell you your life expectancy has now gone down to 5 years.
